Our veterinary team rescued three orphaned Silvereye (Tauhou) chicks and cared for them in The Nest Te Kōhanga, our animal hospital and centre for native wildlife. Once they were strong enough, we released them into an area of native bush inside our New Zealand precinct, Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha.

They made good use of the feeding stations we put up to ease them back into being wild birds, and they've since been spotted hanging around with some other fellow Silvereyes in the area!
