Our prices have changed, and it's good news.
Our two most popular entry tickets have reduced in price. Our Adult entry has reduced to from $27 to $24 and our Family Pass (2 Adults, 2 Children) has reduced from $72 to $69.
We have also made a small increase in the Children’s entry price for the first time since 2017. Children will now be $14, Under 3s remain free. Our concession entry price remains the same at $20.
Family passes are great value for people visiting with Children, and annual Zoo Crew memberships are a great way to save money if you visit more than three times a year.
External research and modelling led us to determine our new entry prices; as a not-for-profit conservation organisation we continue to represent good value for money while ensuring we can take excellent care of wildlife and wild places, and our local community members.

FAQ's:
Why has Wellington Zoo changed some of its prices?
As a not-for-profit charitable trust, we rely on entry fees to allow us to run a progressive Zoo that promotes positive animal welfare and an amazing visitor experience. We review our pricing every year, and this year we’re trying something new based on extensive external research and modelling.
The decision to change pricing is not made lightly. We try to avoid passing on increasing costs to our visitors unless it is absolutely necessary to maintain the high quality of animal care and visitor experience at Wellington Zoo.
Why have you increased the Child price?
Our Child ticket price hasn’t changed since 2017, despite the rising costs of running the Zoo. All our price changes are based off extensive external research and modelling to determine what the best price is for us as a not-for-profit, while still being accessible to as much of our local community as possible.
