Valentine's Night at the Zoo
Celebrate Valentine’s Day in a memorable way this year by treating your loved one to Valentine’s Night at Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo. The Zoo will be open until 8.30 pm for adults only (18+), with live music, an outdoor bar, and love-themed animal talks and Close Encounters. There will also be special Zoo offers available on the night, so join us for a romantic evening this Valentine’s Night!

- $109 Package for two: Pre-booked picnic basket with food (no alcohol) + 2 x Zoo Entry.
- $69 for just the pre-booked picnic basket, for Zoo Crew members.

Music:
Enjoy the evening with live music from one of Wellington’s most colourful and fun bands. This year, your ears will be treated to the New Orleans-style brass sounds of Crash Bandihoot.
They will perform two 45-minute sets at 6 pm and 7 pm in Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha.
Food:
Bookings for Valentine's Night are now open. Pre-book to enjoy a delicious Ploughman’s picnic basket for two from REX Tremendous Events Catering.
The picnic basket will include cold sliced meats for carnivores or roast vegetables for herbivores, roasted nuts, marinated olives, cheeses, homemade corn chips with a selection of dips and salsa, home-made focaccia, fruit plus a duo of sweet tartlets.
Some dietary requirements can be catered for. See below for options. There can be no swap-outs.
Picnic basket bookings close Monday 10th February at 3 pm. These will be collected just through the main entrance building of the Zoo on the night. Please make sure you return your picnic basket to the main entrance building or the barn at Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha when you leave the Zoo, they are not to be taken off the premises.
REX Tremendous will also be putting on a BBQ and offering a selection of food (vegan options available) to purchase on the night from a food station at Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha. Banana Bar and the REX Tremendous Café are not open during the evening.
Drinks:
An outdoor bar will be open in the evening (Cash and EFTPOS available) at Meet the Locals He Tuku Aroha.
Please note, the Zoo is not BYO licensed, and we will be checking I.D. and bags upon arrival at the Zoo.
