Let us look after your little monkeys

COVID-19 UPDATE: December 2021 & January 2022

The Wellington Zoo School Holiday Programme will run in December and January at Level 2. We have made adjustments to the procedures including limiting numbers, contact-free drop off and mask wearing.

We may make further changes if necessary in the future to align with government advice.

Thank you for your support: we can’t wait to see you all at the Zoo!

All Zoo staff members who work closely with children in EOTC programmes including LEOTC learning sessions and Zoo Sleepovers are vaccinated against COVID-19.

From 3rd December, visitors to Wellington Zoo will be required to present their COVID-19 Vaccination Pass prior to entry. Please note this includes children over 12 years and 3 months and will apply to any caregivers dropping Holiday Programme participants off or picking them up at the Zoo. This will enable us to continue operating through all levels of the COVID-19 Protection Framework. Children under 12-years and 3-months will not be required to present a COVID-19 Vaccination Pass.

Our duty of care is to look after our visitors, Zoo team and animals. This is a decision we take seriously, and we will be regularly reviewing in line with government advice to ensure it is still the right approach.  You’ll be able to visit the Zoo knowing we’re doing everything we can to keep you and your whanau safe and healthy.

Keeping your kids entertained during the school holidays might sometimes feel like wrangling wild animals, so why not let the professionals take over?

Every school holidays we run a school holiday programme for kids from 5 to 12. They’ll get to meet our animals, learn from our specially trained Zoo staff and get sneak peeks behind the scenes.

Every day of the Zoo Holiday programme is filled with a new action-packed theme, so you can book for one day, or choose a few days that suit.

The kids will have an unforgettable school holiday experience, and be inspired about animals and conservation, all while having fun getting stuck into exciting activities.

Spaces are strictly limited so please book using the form below to make sure you don’t miss out.
