Have you ever wondered what happens at Wellington Zoo as the sun goes down?

Throughout March, the Zoo will remain open until 7.30 pm every Friday, allowing everyone to experience the Zoo at dusk. On Late Fridays, Zoo entry will be half-price from 4 pm, with the last entry being 6.30 pm.

Banana bar will be open for some evening snacks, although this will be weather dependent. There will be special animal talks each Friday evening, as well as Close Encounters available - but be quick, there are only limited spaces available!

Late Fridays at the Zoo start on Friday the 3rd of March and will continue on the 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st of March.

Animal Talks:

5:30 pm – Monkey Island

6:00 pm – Kea

6:30 pm – Giraffe

7:00 pm – Meerkats

Close Encounters:

5:30 pm – Capybara

6:00 pm – Sun Bear
