Wellington Zoo is passionate about supporting native wildlife and the areas they call home. Come and meet one of our Zoo Rangers who will take you on a guided tour of the Town Belt Restoration Site where we have planted over 1,500 native plants. Find out how you can take care of the native bush in your local area by learning how to identify introduced plant species.
Discover the types of wildlife that live in the native bush by helping us to place reptile monitoring tunnels around the restoration site. If you’re feeling brave you can finish off the tour by meeting a Wētā up close.
To register for the tour please email: firstname.lastname@example.org detailing the names of the participants. Registrations close on 16 March.
