Wellington Zoo is a social enterprise that has conservation and sustainability at its heart. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Manager to join us in igniting a zoo revolution and leading the way in setting the stage for connecting people and animals to save animals in the wild.
The Asset Manager is responsible for managing infrastructural services and works programmes and applying robust processes, schedules and project management to ensuring the Zoo’s capital projects and asset management programmes meet budgets, timeframes and legislative and reporting requirements. Supported by a small team dedicated to the ongoing maintenance of our assets and environmental sustainability outcomes the ability to effectively manage, motivate and develop staff is an important component of this role.
For this role we are looking for someone who likes to punch above their weight. You will need to have an abundance of energy, enthusiasm and commitment to making things happen, along with superb time management skills and the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple requests and demands.
