The hospital at Wellington Zoo sees over 1,000 cases a year, of animals that need medical treatment or research that needs to be done in the laboratory

Food & Beverage

Wellington Zoo's café at the front of the Zoo serves excellent Fair Trade, organic coffee and a wide range of food, including breakfast and lunch menus, pizzas and a range of tasty counter snacks.

All chicken and eggs served at the cafe are bought from free-range farmers, and rice bran oil is used in the kitchen as part of efforts to eliminate palm oil products.

Pushchairs

Hire a pushchair when you visit the Zoo $10 hire, $10 deposit (refunded when you return the pushchair).

Wheelchairs

Wheelchairs are available free of charge.

Parking

There are four designated disability car parks in the Newtown Park car park next to the Zoo.

Toilets

Toilets with wheelchair access are throughout the Zoo.
